Outside Sundays

Outside Sundays is an ongoing series of afternoon getaways extending the concepts behind "Theory Tuesdays" and "Practical Fridays". On any given Sunday, an invited person chooses a destination to visit together. The destination is not published beforehand and is reachable by foot and/or public transportation. A typical getaway takes between 2-4 hours.

Vreni Spieser will choose this Sunday’s getaway destination. Mirjam Bayerdörfer invited Vreni Spieser for the 38th Outside Sunday.

Meeting point: 14.30, Dolderbahn, Römerhof
In the case of heavy rain
it will be postponed – announced here 24h before, according to weather forecast

– When I think of Vreni I think of movement. That is – I feel movement and I see movement and I hear it as well. Where she moves, things move with her and around her. Is it vibrations that she causes? Or oscillations? The patterns that surround her do seem to oscillate. But it’s more than that, all sorts of movements, big small, heavy and light, accompanied by sounds, the way live music used to be played to accompany silent movies; or like sounds in comics.
So these movements take you along, they push and pull, softly, make you move differently, to the side, and your surrounding starts moving and communicating with you and with each other, fibres and filaments and cheesecake and the cat and pebbles and Dübendorf. Yes even Dübendorf, in this case, oscillates. –
