Getaway #32: Gessica Zinni T A I M A S H O E
Gessica Zinni chose this Sunday’s getaway destination. Mirjam Bayerdörfer invited Gessica Zinni for the 32nd Outside Sunday.
– In the end I am not sure whom I invited. For sure I invited Gessica. But somehow also T A I M A S H O E. They are musicians. In fact they are one musician together. I envy them. For their being two and being one. For their having two and having one: Voice.
Why is it the most common thing, when making music, to play in several different bands, with several names, and to perform as a solo artist – with yet another name – all at the same time?
Why is it that in making music identity does not seem to be bound to a single being, neither to one single name nor to one single group? While in art and in real life only single bodies or models of marriage seem to be recognized?
When we walk, Gessica and T A I M A S H O E will be walking too.
One of them will be walking in New York.
And the other one? And their voice?
No fucking idea. –
[Report]
It was all staged. In order to bridge both, space and time, in order to see and hear the very same, in NY and Z, in the very same moment. Uhrenvergleich: 2.30pm. 8.30am. Go.
Before our eyes moved: The same moving images.
a highway from above
paths of a park
water
metal bars
several pedestrian bridges
pedestrians
buggys
bikes
fences
the red surface of a sport court
high trees
concrete
another highway
the space between skyscrapers
the first blossoming cherry trees
a yellow staircase
a flag
a small weird pond
In our ears sounded: The same soundtrack.
Some of us started at Lindbergh Platz and ended at Dorfplatz in Opfikon.
Some of us started in Manhatten and ended in Manhatten.
None of us knew the difference.
